EldersTree Provider Terms & Compensation Policy

1. Overview

These Provider Terms & Compensation Policy (“Terms”) govern your participation as an independent contractor (“Provider”) with EldersTree LLC (“EldersTree,” “we,” or “our”). By accepting an invitation to provide services through EldersTree, you agree to the following terms.

2. Independent Contractor Relationship

Providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of EldersTree. Nothing in these Terms shall be interpreted as creating an employer-employee relationship, joint venture, or partnership. Providers are solely responsible for managing their own work schedule, equipment, taxes, and insurance.

3. Compensation & Revenue Split

  • Providers receive 70% of the total fee charged to the client for each completed service session.
  • EldersTree retains 30% as a platform fee, which covers administrative costs, marketing, payment processing, and client support.
  • All client payments are collected through EldersTree’s secure payment processor (Stripe). Provider payouts are issued weekly via Stripe to the bank account on file.
  • Providers are responsible for ensuring accurate payment information is maintained within their account.
  • Service cancellations, disputes, or no-shows are handled in accordance with EldersTree’s Cancellation Policy, available upon request.

4. Taxes & Reporting

As independent contractors, Providers are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on income earned through EldersTree. EldersTree does not withhold taxes and will provide year-end documentation (e.g., Form 1099-NEC) for qualifying Providers in accordance with IRS requirements.

5. Professional Conduct

  • Providers must maintain a courteous, patient, and professional demeanor with all clients, many of whom may be seniors or individuals with limited technical ability.
  • Confidentiality must be maintained for all personal and device information accessed during sessions.
  • Providers shall not request or accept direct payments outside of the EldersTree platform.
  • Any harassment, discrimination, or unprofessional behavior may result in immediate removal from the platform.

6. Liability & Indemnification

EldersTree LLC is not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the actions or omissions of Providers. Providers agree to indemnify and hold harmless EldersTree LLC, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, costs, or damages related to the services they perform.

7. Confidentiality

Providers agree not to disclose any confidential client or company information, including client contact details, device credentials, or internal business processes, except as required to perform their contracted services.

8. Use of the EldersTree Platform

  • All bookings must be processed through EldersTree’s online platform.
  • Providers must not circumvent the platform to contact or service clients privately.
  • Violation of this policy may result in account suspension or termination.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. Upon termination, any unpaid earnings for completed sessions will be remitted during the next scheduled payout cycle.

10. Amendments

EldersTree LLC reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Providers will be notified via email of any material changes. Continued participation after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
